Bav Tailor is the Founder, Fēng Shuǐ Alchemist and Holistic Advisor of her Śakti Sphere, a sacred multi-cultural self-mastery sanctuary dedicated to the art of transformation through spiritual awareness and holistic living, offering 360° holistic experiences through thoughtfully curated sacred Masters and Artists, transformative retreats and workshops, integrated with luxury mindfulness products.
Born in London, of Indian / East African heritage, and nomadic in spirit, Bav’s global upbringing and travels inform her innate sensibility towards human potential and cross-cultural consciousness. Since founding her conscious luxury business in 2013, she has woven a philosophy of mindful evolution into her company, mentoring a new generation of wellness creatives and conscious leaders through her teachings, immersive workshops, and luxury mindfulness offerings.
Through the Śakti Sphere, Bav curates a holistic tapestry of ancient wisdom, experiential learning, and transformational practice tools, designed to guide individuals and organisations towards heightened self-mastery, ethical influence, and conscious impact. With over two decades in the luxury sector, Bav integrates her expertise in visual merchandising, spatial design, and conscious brand strategy into her holistic approach to support home and workplace energy flow and organisational wellbeing. Trained under Master Marie Diamond, she provides Fēng Shuǐ Alchemy consultancy to enhance the art of living through calibrating interior design with the flow of Qi in any professional or personal space to enhance creativity, productivity, and conscious performance. Every physical and energetic element is calibrated to support the alignment of vision, values, and human potential.

The Śakti Sphere is the culmination of many years of nomadic exploration, through which Bav’s philosophy has expanded and developed, a rich synthesis of experience, ancient wisdom and existential realisation. Following a successful career in luxury fashion, Bav chose to develop her childhood heritage of spiritual practices, bringing strongly held ethics and values to a new calling in the wellness industry.

Śakti is an ancient Sanskrit term meaning ‘divine energy’. The Śakti Sphere is a sacred space for replenishing energy, as well as being a striking metaphor for our surroundings. Through familiarity with the Sphere, we can interpret and engage with the world to balance responsibility with freedom and personal choice. This is about preserving our own personal sphere through mindful living, drawing on Eastern philosophies and Existentialism from her Masters, author and educator Vishen Lakhiani of MindValley and Shannon Lee, daughter of Bruce Lee and Trustee of the Bruce Lee Foundation.
In addition to this diverse selection of inspiring spiritual mentors, Bav also feels great affinity with pioneers like Steve Jobs, visionary business leaders who have enhanced connectivity through simplicity of design and thought. ‘My vision for Śakti Sphere is for it to become a go-to city or online sanctuary, a retreat for when one requires time-out from the chaos of the office or home to balance their inner wellbeing,’ she says.

For the Country & Town House Future Icons 2025 Awards, Bav Tailor was awarded Best Sustainable Service, Beauty & Wellness category and for the Positive Luxury 2024 Awards, her company was named Fashion Business of the Year, lauded for how ‘its holistic approach to sustainability and ethical practices remain deeply rooted in its operations’. In 2023, Bav Tailor was a winner in the Marie Claire Sustainability Beauty, Health & Wellness Small Business Awards and finalist for the Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards 2024. In 2022 she was awarded the CO Leader Award by Common Objective. These form part of the publication’s annual Journey to Zero event, a perfect synergy with her centred, holistic approach to practice.
Since launching her eponymous brand over a decade ago, Bav Tailor has been graciously supported by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and the Camera Moda Fashion Trust, for various projects including ‘Together for Tomorrow’ and ‘CNMI Designers for the Planet’. In 2020 she has been awarded the first ‘Taomoda 2020 Eco-Luxury Award’, during Taormina Fashion Week, the ‘Conscious Designer’ award by the Arab Fashion Council and nominated Vogue Talent finalist of ‘Who Is On Next 2019?’, scouting project promoted by Altaroma and Vogue Italia with whom she showcased during the ‘Vogue Talents 10 Anniversary’ exhibition.
