there are many steps involved in making a perfume. I would almost say it’s like a gestation process that requires patience until the birth of a fragrance that I hope will bring joy, comfort, and well-being to those who cross its path.

Christèle Jacquemin | Artisan Parfumeur & Olfactory Artist

Scent as memory. Fragrance as art.

With more than 25 years of experience in the world of perfumery, Christèle Jacquemin is an artisan perfumer whose creative practice is deeply rooted in travel, photography, nature and the emotional power of scent, bringing depth, artistry and savoir-faire to this sensory ritual.

Her journey into perfumery began in 2000 in Murcia, Spain - a city historically connected to the fragrance industry and a twin city of Grasse. Her work in the perfume sector soon became an extraordinary passport to the world, taking her across more than 50 countries throughout Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Alongside perfumery, Christèle discovered a second passion: photography. Working initially as Marketing Director within the fragrance industry, she found herself translating the invisible language of scent into words and images. When existing imagery could not capture the fragrances she experienced in her imagination, she began formally studying photography, eventually opening her own studio in Murcia in 2009.

Her two creative worlds ultimately became one.

After leaving the industrial perfume world, Christèle trained in perfume composition in Paris before embarking on an extended journey through Asia. During her travels, she conceived the idea of creating fragrances inspired by the photographs she captured along the way - allowing scent, image and place to become part of the same artistic language.

In 2019, she launched her independent perfume house in France, presenting her first perfume alongside her photography during a group exhibition in Avignon.

Today, Christèle creates her perfumes artisanally in her own workshop, developing compositions that invite us to experience fragrance not simply as an adornment, but as a gateway to memory, emotion, imagination and connection.

Her work has received international recognition, including distinctions from The Art and Olfaction Awards, ÇaFleureBon, Fragrantica and Esxence, with several of her fragrances recognised among notable launches and fragrances of the year.
