Arty's unveiling of her first collection "Azaadi" meaning "Freedom" in Hindi, showcases the liberation of her creativity and breakdown of her own internal barriers of fear. Her use of earthly cool coloured tones mirrors the calm and emotion she feels within when creating each piece. Arty's use of alcoholic inks on yupo is influenced by air to create the ambient effect of a weightless flow. The use of metallics within each art piece is common to her style, inspired by her Indian heritage and the significance of gold within the culture, representing beauty, light and a divine glow of the soul. Through her art, Arty Tailor Walker invites us to embrace our own sense of adventure and creativity, and to explore the world with an open and curious mind.
Arty's inaugural large-scale artwork emerged from the depths of her subconscious, resulting in the creation of the Hindu deity, Lord Ganesha. Known as the remover of obstacles, Ganesha symbolises new beginnings, wisdom, and prosperity, making his appearance an auspicious sign for the start of new projects or journeys.
