VERED BRETT
Vered Brett is an internationally selling contemporary artist living and creating along the sun-kissed coastline of Cascais, Portugal. Her journey into painting was not linear—it was a return to a first love that had quietly waited for her through the seasons of life. Born with an innate creative spirit, Vered spent many years feeling unfulfilled, unaware that she was disconnected from her true calling. The transformative experience of becoming a mother in 2018 prompted a profound inner shift. It was during this time that she began to question her path and search for deeper alignment. In 2020, she relocated from London to Portugal—a move that marked the beginning of an unexpected homecoming, both geographically and spiritually.
Surrounded by the rhythm of the Atlantic Ocean and nourished by the Mediterranean memories of her childhood, Vered reconnected with her authentic self. Inspired by nature and driven by intuition, she made the bold decision to embrace her identity as an abstract artist—an awakening that happened almost overnight.
Vered’s work is a visual exploration of memory, emotion, and the layers we carry within us. Through abstract compositions, she invites the viewer into intimate, introspective spaces—moments that ask us to peel back, reflect, and reconnect. Her process is deeply intuitive and fluid, often incorporating natural materials such as sand and ocean water, collected from the shores with her son. These elements reflect her deep bond with the sea and add organic texture and unpredictability to each piece.
Working primarily with acrylics and unconventional tools found in nature, Vered’s artistic practice is a celebration of freedom, curiosity, and soulful expression. Her paintings offer a portal into inner landscapes—stories told through fluid brushstrokes, delicate borders, and layers that mirror the ever-shifting tides of life.
